Plagiarism Policy

Sulaiman: Journal of Leadership is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works that have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software before being sent for peer review. This screening process aims to ensure that the manuscripts meet the journal’s standards for originality.

Acceptable Similarity Level

The journal allows a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. Manuscripts with a similarity level exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the editorial team.

Forms of Plagiarism

The journal considers the following practices as plagiarism:

  • Copying text, ideas, data, or images from other sources without proper citation

  • Submitting someone else’s work as one’s own

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication without proper acknowledgment

  • Paraphrasing substantial parts of another work without proper attribution

Editorial Action

If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the editorial board reserves the right to take appropriate action, including issuing corrections, retractions, or removing the article from the journal website.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with ethical academic standards and proper citation practices.
