Peer Review Procces

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (IJMS) applies a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all manuscripts submitted for publication.

All submitted manuscripts undergo the following review procedure:

1. Initial Editorial Screening

After submission, the manuscript will be evaluated by the Editorial Team to ensure that it fits the journal’s focus and scope, follows the author guidelines, and meets basic academic standards. At this stage, the manuscript may be rejected if it is clearly outside the scope of the journal or does not meet the required quality standards.

2. Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Manuscripts with a high similarity index or evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process to ensure an objective and unbiased evaluation.

Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • originality and novelty of the research

  • relevance to the journal’s scope

  • clarity of research objectives

  • methodological rigor

  • quality of analysis and discussion

  • contribution to multidisciplinary knowledge

  • quality of writing and organization

4. Review Decision

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Accept with major revisions

  • Reject

Authors receiving revision requests must revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and resubmit it within the specified timeframe.

5. Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding the acceptance of the manuscript after considering the reviewers’ reports and the quality of the revised manuscript.

6. Publication

Accepted manuscripts will undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before being published online in the scheduled issue of the journal.

The average review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the quality of the submitted manuscript.

IJMS is committed to maintaining the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and academic integrity in the peer-review process.
