Publication Ethics Statement

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (IJMS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any form of publication malpractice. This statement is based on the ethical guidelines developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

IJMS promotes integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing and expects all participants in the publication process to adhere to ethical principles in academic research and publication.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published. In making these decisions, editors evaluate manuscripts based on their academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Editors must:

  • Evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination regarding race, gender, religion, citizenship, or political philosophy.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and not disclose information to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher when appropriate.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest and ensure that unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts are not used for their own research.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist the editorial team in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.

Reviewers must:

  • Conduct reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts under review.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

  • Inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors.

Duties of Authors

Authors are responsible for presenting accurate and original research. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cite or quote the work of others.

Authors must:

  • Ensure that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources of data and ideas used in the research.

  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.

  • Ensure that all individuals who have made significant contributions to the research are listed as co-authors.

  • Disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that might influence the research results.

Duties of the Publisher

The publisher of IJMS is committed to supporting the editorial team in maintaining ethical publishing practices. The publisher ensures that editorial decisions are independent and free from commercial influence.

The publisher also works closely with editors to address cases of suspected misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices.

Handling of Publication Misconduct

If unethical behavior is suspected or reported, the editorial team will take appropriate steps in accordance with international publishing standards and the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics. Actions may include manuscript rejection, publication corrections, retractions, or notification to relevant institutions when necessary.
