Screening for Plagiarism

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (IJMS) is committed to ensuring the originality and integrity of all published manuscripts. To maintain high academic standards, all submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before they are sent to the peer-review process.

IJMS uses plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin and iThenticate to examine the similarity index of submitted manuscripts.

Manuscripts will be evaluated based on the similarity report according to the following guidelines:

• A similarity index below 20% is generally acceptable, provided that the similarity comes from properly cited sources.

• If the similarity index is considered too high or indicates potential plagiarism, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.

• Manuscripts that contain clear evidence of plagiarism, including data fabrication, duplication, or unethical citation practices, will be rejected immediately.

Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure the originality of their work and to properly cite all sources used in their research. All manuscripts submitted to IJMS must represent original research that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.

The editorial team follows ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics in handling cases of suspected plagiarism or academic misconduct.

IJMS reserves the right to reject manuscripts or retract published articles if plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are discovered at any stage of the publication process.
