Withdrawal of Manuscript

Authors are not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts arbitrarily once the manuscript has entered the editorial and peer review process in RIBAB: Review of Islamic Business Arbitration. Manuscript withdrawal should be conducted responsibly and only for valid academic reasons.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins by submitting a formal request to the editorial office. The request must include the reason for withdrawal and confirmation from all co-authors.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

Once a manuscript has entered the peer review process, withdrawal requests will only be considered under special circumstances, such as:

Significant errors discovered in the research data or analysis
Ethical concerns related to the research
Duplicate submission identified by the author

Authors must submit a formal written request explaining the reason for withdrawal. The editorial board will evaluate the request and decide whether the withdrawal can be approved.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

If a manuscript has already been accepted for publication, withdrawal requests will not normally be permitted except in cases of serious ethical issues or significant errors identified in the research.

Unethical Withdrawal

Withdrawal of manuscripts without proper justification, especially after the peer review process has begun or after the manuscript has been accepted, is considered unethical behavior. Such actions may disrupt the editorial workflow and waste the valuable time of editors and reviewers.

If authors withdraw manuscripts without valid reasons or fail to respond to editorial communication for an extended period, the editorial board may take appropriate actions, including:

Rejecting the manuscript
Temporarily restricting future submissions from the authors
Reporting the case to the authors’ affiliated institutions if necessary

Editorial Decision

The final decision regarding manuscript withdrawal rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board of RIBAB.

The journal encourages authors to carefully consider their submissions before entering the review process in order to maintain the efficiency and integrity of the scholarly publication process.
