Publication Ethics Statement

USWAH: Journal of Sustainable Development Goals in Education is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the ethical guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Authors

Authors who submit manuscripts to USWAH: Journal of Sustainable Development Goals in Education must ensure that their work meets the following ethical standards:

    Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.

Duties of Editors

Editors of USWAH: Journal of Sustainable Development Goals in Education are responsible for ensuring a fair and transparent publication process.

Editors must:

  • evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit without discrimination

  • maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts

  • avoid conflicts of interest

  • make publication decisions based on reviewers’ recommendations and journal policies

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality of published research.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • conduct objective and constructive reviews

  • maintain confidentiality of manuscripts

  • identify relevant published work not cited by the authors

  • report any suspected plagiarism, ethical misconduct, or conflicts of interest

Ethical Oversight

The journal strictly prohibits:

  • plagiarism

  • data fabrication and falsification

  • duplicate publication

  • unethical research practices

If ethical misconduct is suspected, the editorial board will investigate the issue following COPE guidelines. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, publication correction, or article retraction.
