Withdrawal of Manuscript

Authors are not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts from USWAH: Journal of Sustainable Development Goals in Education after the manuscript has entered the editorial or peer review process without a valid and acceptable reason. The withdrawal of manuscripts is considered an unethical practice if done without proper justification, especially after the manuscript has undergone the review process.

Therefore, authors who wish to withdraw their manuscripts must submit a formal written request to the editorial office stating the reasons for the withdrawal.

Withdrawal Before the Review Process

Authors may request the withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins. In this case, the editorial office will review the request and confirm the withdrawal if the manuscript has not yet been assigned to reviewers.

Withdrawal During the Review Process

If the manuscript has already entered the peer review process, authors are expected to respect the time and effort contributed by editors and reviewers. Withdrawal requests at this stage will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and must be accompanied by a clear explanation.

The editorial board reserves the right to approve or reject the withdrawal request.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Manuscripts that have already been accepted for publication cannot be withdrawn except in cases involving serious ethical issues or significant errors in the research.

If the manuscript has already been published online, any request related to withdrawal will be treated according to the journal’s retraction policy.

Ethical Considerations

Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously or withdrawing a manuscript without proper notification is considered unethical publication behavior.

USWAH: Journal of Sustainable Development Goals in Education follows the ethical standards and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling manuscript withdrawal cases.

Editorial Decision

All withdrawal requests will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board. The final decision regarding the withdrawal will be communicated to the authors by the editorial office.
