Archiving Policy
The International Journal of Islamic Religious Education (IJIRE) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published content. To achieve this, IJIRE implements a comprehensive digital archiving policy in accordance with international publishing standards.
1. Digital Archiving
IJIRE adopts secure digital preservation practices to safeguard all published articles and ensure that they remain permanently accessible for researchers, educators, and readers worldwide.
The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which supports robust archiving and backup protocols.
2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS
IJIRE participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) initiatives, enabling libraries and repositories to:
-
Preserve authentic and verifiable copies of all published content.
-
Guarantee continuous access to journal articles even in the event of system failures.
-
Ensure redundancy and integrity through distributed archival storage.
3. Institutional and Public Repositories
IJIRE encourages authors to self-archive their published articles by depositing the final published PDF in:
-
Institutional repositories
-
Personal academic profiles
-
Public open-access repositories
Authors are required to include a proper citation of the original article published in IJIRE when depositing in external repositories.
4. Self-Archiving Rights
In line with IJIRE’s open-access policy, authors are permitted to:
-
Share the final published version of their article immediately after publication.
-
Archive the article on personal websites, institutional repositories, and academic platforms without embargo.
-
Use the published version for teaching, research, and non-commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given.
5. DOI Registration for Permanent Access
All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure:
-
Permanent identification of articles.
-
Reliable linking for long-term accessibility.
-
Integration with indexing services and citation databases.
6. Long-Term Preservation Commitment
IJIRE, managed by Eduglobal Publishing, is dedicated to:
-
Maintaining the availability of all published content for future generations.
-
Adhering to international digital preservation standards.
-
Supporting open-access principles to maximize global visibility and knowledge sharing.
