Publication Ethics Statement

The International Journal of Islamic Religious Education (IJIRE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and strictly follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to adhere to the following principles:

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit original, unpublished work and ensure that the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere.

  • Properly cite and acknowledge the works of others.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research.

  • Ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism; all submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools.

  • Cooperate fully during the peer-review process and respond to reviewers’ comments in a timely and constructive manner.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Make fair and unbiased decisions based solely on the academic merit of the submitted manuscripts.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all submissions and ensure that unpublished materials are not used for personal advantage.

  • Ensure a transparent peer-review process and handle any ethical concerns promptly.

  • Avoid any conflicts of interest related to accepted or rejected manuscripts.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the review process.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest that may affect the impartiality of their evaluation.

  • Refrain from using any unpublished information from reviewed manuscripts for personal gain.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • Ensure the integrity and transparency of the entire publication process.

  • Provide editorial independence to the editorial board and protect the academic freedom of authors and reviewers.

  • Support ethical publishing practices and take appropriate action in cases of plagiarism, data falsification, or research misconduct.
